IN LOOK AND FEEL, INSPIRED BY THE OCEAN

 

 

The interior is dominated by a curved walnut bar reminiscent of a tall sailing ship, while behind the bar shelves are replicas of grappling hooks used by local fishermen, fashioned from brass hook ends. In winter, a fire burns, creating the intimate, cosy feel of a traditional Irish pub. In summer, the stone terrace hops with diners making the most of our dramatic cliffside perch.

The bar is open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. Reservations are essential, especially at weekends. This is a bar restaurant popular with locals.

RELAXED ALL-DAY DINING

In our relaxed Bar Restaurant, you will find a menu that is both sophisticated and easygoing — a tribute to the very best of Irish cuisine.

Presided over by CLIFF’s Executive Chef Martijn Kajuiter, the menus offer a wide selection of sandwiches and seafood dishes, including monkfish, Helvick cod, local crab, and chowder.

Rib-eye steaks are meltingly soft, while the desserts are classic Irish comfort food taken to the next level.

Harty Oyster Dinner

A CELEBRATION OF WATERFORD FOOD

Join us Thursday, 14th September with a celebration of Harty Oysters in association with Food the Waterford Way.

Commence the evening at 6pm with a visit to Harty Oysters in Ring, where you will have a guided tour and get to understand the business of this family run oyster farm, then continue on the Bar Restaurant at Cliff House Hotel for a three course gourmet oyster dinner by Chef Martijn Kajuiter commencing at 7:30pm. Cost €60 per person.

For those of you wishing to prolong the evening we are offering a reduced Bed and Breakfast rate of €280 for two people sharing in a Deluxe seaview room.

Spaces limited and shared tables may apply.
