House Restaurant will be closed for annual holidays from the 12th of January and will reopen on the 29th. We look forward to welcoming new and old guests in 2020. Our Bar Restaurant will still be open during this period.

Our team of sommeliers at Cliff House Hotel work closely with our Michelin star restaurant to equal his innovative modern Irish cuisine with an exciting, surprising wine list. Bottles are stored in a glass-walled wine cellar for your perusal.

A compelling beer list is also available, alongside Champagnes, sparkling wines and classic, organic and dessert wines.


The wines on our list reflect a true diversity of styles and countries from both the old and new worlds. Impeccably informed – and always exploratory – we present an interesting array of tastes and flavours. Sometimes even Japanese sake finds itself on to the wine tasting menu, devised to accompany the nine-dish fine dining experience in The House Restaurant.

Wine dinners at Cliff House Hotel are a very special treat. Oenophiles can enjoy an hour-long wine masterclass and wine tasting delivered by our Sommelier, followed by an inventive dinner menu created by our fantastic team and Executive Chef Ian Doyle. This is the perfect intimate party offering, whether at Christmas or for a birthday or anniversary. Available for groups from 2-20 people.
