Afternoon Tea is a tradition dating back to the 1840s, when the Duchess of Bedford, began enjoying a light afternoon meal of tea, sandwiches and cakes to bridge the long gap between lunch and dinner. What began as a private ritual soon became one of the most enduring pleasures of hospitality.
At Cliff House Hotel, we give the tradition our own coastal character, pairing beautifully prepared sweet and savoury treats with warm service and uninterrupted views across Ardmore Bay.
