Highbank Orchards

You will find Highbank Organic Orchards in the South East of Ireland just outside Kilkenny City and it is the home to the Calder-Potts family, Rod, Julie and their children, Hylton and Ruth. The family planted their first apple orchards in 1969. The fertile Kilkenny limestone soil is uniquely suited to produce delicious apples.

The family have carefully chosen the varieties of apples for their juicing properties, which are uniquely complex.

All of their production is to the strictest of organic standards. No chemicals have been sprayed on the apples for over 30 years, neither are any herbicides or fertilizers used. GMOs are shunned they even avoid the use of animal manure.

Today Highbank Organic Orchards is home to many unique and multi award winning products, non-alcoholic and alcoholic, from syrup, treacle and vinegars to cider, brandey and gin and they have multiple awards for their products including, National Organic Chefs Choice Award, The Environmental Award, McKenna Guide, Bridgestone Guide – New Food Award of the Year, Best New Product, Food Producer of The Year
