Ardmore Gallery: This bright and airy gallery and tearoom stocks work by painter-owner Breda O’Brien. Walking time: 5 minutes.
The Anchor Art and Design Boutique, Ardmore: This small emporium stocks an eclectic mix of tasteful Irish accessories, cashmere scarves and bags, alongside original artwork by local painters. Walking time: 5 minutes.
Beach House Gallery, Dungarvan: Pippa Sweeney showcases the work of over 100 Irish artists and craft workers, and also creates her own range of quality needle-felted images. Driving time: 15 minutes.
I am of Ireland; Art and Craft Gallery: An open traditional Irish cottage with views of the Comeragh mountains and the Blackwater showing and selling pieces of high quality Irish craft. Driving time: 10 minutes.

Stephen Pearce Pottery, Shanagarry: The striking black and white Shanagarry range is made on site by potter Stephen Pearce, who works with natural clay and fresh water from Ballycotton Bay. Driving time: 40 minutes.
Jonathan Ackroyd, Lismore: This established Lismore jeweller designs and makes exquisite one-off pieces in the heart of this traditional Waterford town. Driving time: 30 minutes.
Ballymaloe Cookery Shop, Shanagarry: Gadget heaven for the kitchen junkie, this well-stocked shop – part of the Ballymaloe Cookery School – sells everything for the modern cook. Driving time: 40 minutes.
Joan Clancy, Dungarvan: This well curated gallery overlooking Dungarvan Bay showcases work by established and emerging Irish artists. Driving time: 15 minutes.
Gallery 126, Youghal: With regular exhibitions by local contemporary artists, Gallery 126 also has a photography studio specialising in portraiture. Driving time: 20 minutes.
Waterford Crystal, Waterford: Stocking the world’s largest selection of Waterford Crystal in the world, here’s where to pick up mantlepiece mementoes of your visit. Driving time: 60 minutes.


Blarney Woollen Mills, Blarney: Find Irish wools, linens, jewellery and gifts at this behemoth flagship store, situated in one of Ireland’s oldest and most authentic woollen mills. Driving time: 80 minutes.
The Country Store, Dungarvan: This store sells a wide range of local artisan foods – many of which will stand up to travel. Driving time: 15 minutes.
Dyehouse Gallery and Waterford Pottery, Waterford: This interesting art gallery run by renowned Waterford potter Liz McKay stocks a good mix of art, crafts and homewares. Driving time: 60 minutes.
